Hamburg Park

  

Accessible between 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, the park offers a variety of playground equipment in addition to other recreational features, i.e. tennis courts, a basketball court, baseball fields, and open space for other activities.

The Richard Etchberger Trail - located towards the western end of the park (adjacent to the parking) - offers an enjoyable and short hike along the Schuylkill River.

Unwind and meet up for a picnic at one of the benches or tables made available to relax and enjoy the magnificent view.

  


The Borough of Hamburg also has a large, filtered Hamburg Community Pool.

 

Park activities occur daily Monday through Friday from mid-June to mid-August between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are activities planned throughout the day, including crafts, games, tournaments and field trips. There are even activities planned for rainy days.


Some of the crafts include the following: Pom Pom pets, glue art, clay art, paint clay art, paper plate masks, button art, gimp bracelets, pine cone bird feeders, tie dye t-shirts, scrapbooks, painting flower pots, pencil pals, & finger painting - to name a few.


Games and tournaments include basketball, football, pictionary, grand stand, roof ball, 4 square, box hockey, ping pong, & cards.


Field trips and other events include pool day, a hot dog roast at Kaercher Creek, miniature golf, and dances at the park.
