We built our home in 2010 so that it would have a self-contained upstairs, and a livable suite in the walk-in basement, alongside our art studio. After Jay’s parents died we have an extra unit, and wanted to use it as an Airbnb. It is filled with original art, and guests are finding it very comfortable and private.
The house is five acres of land at the foot of Blue Mountain, convenient to Hawk Mountain, the Bartram Trail, and shopping and dining. It’s a birdwatchers paradise.
Airbnb: Private suite of living room, bedroom and bathroom, including a microwave, fridge and coffee service.
Stephen Hess recently stayed at the Art Suite and commented “Martha’s place was the perfect little getaway for my girlfriend and I this Spring. The rooms are comfortable and clean, nicely decorated with original artwork located in a beautiful natural setting at the base of Blue Mountain. The bed is super comfortable and the shower and bathroom get an easy A+. We came for the shopping, mainly at Cabela’s but there are plenty of antique shops and locally owned restaurants close by for your enjoyment. We highly recommend Martha’s place if you’re planning a trip to the Hamburg area”
