Francis grew up by the Mediterranean Sea. He enjoyed, on a daily basis, the gorgeous views, sparkling clear water & beautiful sunsets. Occasional sleeping overnight in the open or on a boat admiring the moon and the stars that was a common practice in the summer time.

After graduating, he was employed by Ingersoll Rand Co in NJ, designing machinery for fossil fuel and nuclear power plants. He traveled the world as a project manager…

He then was recruited by Mack Trucks/Renault/Volvo. Francis started as a Purchasing Manager and continued his international travels for the company, handling large suppliers with multi-million dollar accounts.

Happily married for 48 years with two children, one residing in Orwigsburg and one in Selinsgrove, it was logical to take retirement in Orwigsburg to enjoy his five grand-children.

Before retirement, Francis took a course in oil painting that helped him express his passion and love for the art.
