Leeward Renewable Energy is working on the development of Mountain Trail Solar Energy, a 50-megawatt (MW) solar facility on approximately 500 acres of privately-owned land in Windsor Township, PA. Mountain Trail Solar will help meet demand for renewable energy in Pennsylvania and is expected to operate for 30+ years. The project will also provide economic investment to the community, including an increased property tax base for Windsor Township, tax dollars to help fund local schools, and add a significant number of jobs during construction. Mountain Trail Solar is also committed to being a dedicated member of the community and will continue to build lasting partnerships with civic leaders, property owners, and community members.
